An_Onymous: @evilpika: While technically I agree with your statement (in that it would be a waste of paint), I'm not really bothered by people I'm not particularly attracted to being naked around me. I wouldn't mind if people in general went about their daily business naked much of the time. I for one would like being able to go without clothes whenever I wished.
evilpika: Well, nudist tendencies aside, I would assume painting oneself like this would be an attempt to be sexy, which he isn't succeeding at. Though the world would be a bit simpler if people were less concerned about nudity.
An_Onymous: It might well be, but sexiness isn't the only reason to paint one's body. In meatspace I live near Seattle, and in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood there's an annual summer solstice parade/festival that is a giant mass of hippieness, art stuffs, and lulz. There is an unofficial tradition that the parade proper be preceded by a horde of body-painted nekkid people on bikes, and from my experience with this parade I can assure you that for most of these people sexiness is not a primary objective. It's loads of fun, though. :)
